With the onlookers in the foreground, it makes me see it more from their perspective- both Mole Man's Monster and the Fantastic Four are strange invaders to their routine. The diagonal sequential placement of the word balloons also helps draw attention to those foreground characters. In the original, my eye stops at Mister Fantastic. In John R. Holmes' reimagining, the flow starts with the fire trail, goes down the diagonal word balloons, is led back out toward the monster, and then the Thing redirects my attention toward the onlookers. The fact that it also mimics Kirby's style so well is what really sells this as a companion piece. Kudos!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1726742103634035714.post-73572695517213640092011-04-14T06:25:48.062-07:002011-04-14T06:25:48.062-07:00Anthony: yes!Anthony: yes!BOPalexhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00307477049415910415noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1726742103634035714.post-47285774823132020752011-04-13T09:55:30.896-07:002011-04-13T09:55:30.896-07:00BOPalex.... isn't the reverse of that one the ...BOPalex.... isn't the reverse of that one the famous photo we always see?Anthony Vukojevichhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02768458666896532230noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1726742103634035714.post-11797483532820764782011-04-13T09:53:46.922-07:002011-04-13T09:53:46.922-07:00Great job with the funky Kirby dance poses.Great job with the funky Kirby dance poses.Anthony Vukojevichhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02768458666896532230noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1726742103634035714.post-20378151908876229372011-04-13T07:29:46.139-07:002011-04-13T07:29:46.139-07:00Love it!!
