  1. Huh....I like them both...
Jim Mooney and Art Adams....nice generational crossover!

    And James...it AM art!

  2. I had to do a double take when I looked up the cover credits because the result doesn't look like either of them. It looks more like Mike Allred or Kevin McGuire.

  3. And Anthony, are you insulting James by calling it art since in Bizarro Language it's the opposite? Perhaps though, but calling it bad art you are then praising it for really being good? Do they ever do double negatives?

  4. First off, I think this is a really fine piece of work, James.

Secondly, can we get into the fact that this cover is a massive, & hilarious dig at Roy Lichtenstein. I mean, really, this is a huge middle finger to Lichtenstein, and I love it.

  5. Of course, I agree with everyone that this is a wonderful take on that Lichenstein send-up! I love that Bizarro has reversed his chest logo as expression of his artistic style :-) Your own changes are quite funny too... love your blank ballooned Lana & Supes as well as your code approval stamp. Excellent!

  6. Actually, that is Kevin Maguire. He did most of the covers for that series. Mooney was the interior artist.

  7. Ah okay, I was thinking the woman behind Superboy looks like Maguire drawings.

  8. Both great covers, but I think I like James' pose on Bizarro even better than the original.

I remember when this blog didn't suck and credits were right and things posted on time.
