Yeah, Polaris' stance in the new piece stood out to me. It's much more forceful and in control where she seemed more passive in Steranko's (awesome) cover. Although you could argue that a person so powerful yet seemingly not in control is even scarier. Anyway Mayhew took an already great piece, made a couple of changes (I also like how the X-Men can be seen better in his version), but otherwise made it his own.
The original is excellent. But I love the new Polaris stance, Marvel Girl's horn-rimmed glasses look, and Iceman's updated shininess.
