I saw this at Albert Moy's website a couple of weeks ago and freaked out. I asked Art if I could run it and he was kind enough to let me do it. Every Comic-con I make my way over to artist's alley to check out his portfolio.
Damn! That’s gorgeous! Makes me want to dig out old floppies from 20 years ago...I think I have his miniseries "Angel & the Ape" (or was it called "Monkeyman and O'Brien"? Something like that)
Robert, you're doing the right thing. I spend most of my time at cons in artist's alley or at art dealer booths drooling over art I could never afford. Just like any other art seeing it in person is so much more powerful. You can see the individual brush strokes, or nib pits. Plus original inked comic work has such richness in the greytones before it gets thresholded in PS.
Yowza!
ReplyDeleteI love Art Adams! Great cover.
