  4. How many late 70's crazes was HB trying to cash in on with the CB Bears? You've got CB's, bears (Grizzly Adams, Country Bear Jamboree), and names like Boogie and Hustle. They probably solved mysteries because almost all Hanna Barbara shows solved mysteries. I'm guessing that the bear in the foreground was the sensible brains of the operation, the guy with the trash can on his head was "wacky", and the bear with the hat was the street-smart, tough guy. I've got to find this comic.

I'd love to see Michael do a comic story with the CB Bears based on what he thinks it would be like and then read a sanctioned story. Of course it would be a colossal waste of his time...

Is that bear wearing a blonde wig?

  5. How weird is this? The Google ad that shows up on this post is the following:

    Hanna Barbera Bear
Huge selection of Hanna Barbera Bear items.
    Yahoo.com

    It's almost creepy.

  6. THIS IS SICKENING. I love the angry, roaring bear on the right.

  7. All of them basically have the exact same expression as on the past cover. Except for the mean, tough guy bear under CLUE CLUB! He can't stand his cartoon past!

By the way is CLUE CLUB what the TRUBBLE CLUB came from??

  8. I think that if the Trubble Club members practice and continue to hone their art, they'll become indistinguishable from TV Stars's cover art, and perhaps get an uncredited gig-- living the dream we all share. I'm waiting for Hanna or Barbera to call me up and have me "reboot" the franchise.

  9. Oh, I hope the trubble Clubbers keep up exactly what they do! And H&B will offer them a TRUBBLE CLUB Cartoon Show!

  10. That's pretty awesome. It seems clear that the bears are wearing clothes they took from the people they ate. They still look fun to hang out with, though.
