  1. I LOVE it!
This is such a great idea...
to recast the Archie gang as modern hipsters.
If teens saw this staring back at them from the supermarket rack,
    they'd snap it up!
I dig the covers on this blog that ignore the character designs and go with their own style.

  3. I thought the submission guidelines said "...this isn’t a parody cover site."

  4. I'm sure there will come a time when a cover comes along that is in the gray outer edges of the limitations of this site. In that case, it will be pretty easy to argue that I made the wrong decision to run or not run the cover. In this case however, I never really considered it to be a parody. I think that Cole kept the general idea and simply changed the context a bit into more contemporary times. I think of parody as throwing in a new element to change the intention of the cover to something unrelated from the original for comedic purposes.

  5. Ah, an update.
The black and white socks make so much more sense.

  7. Hi Devlin, do you know of any sources that I can verify Harry Lucey as the artist? I appreciate the feedback.

  8. Like it very much. There's an added depth with the fat kneed nerdy girl looking more nerdy.
