  3. I LOVE this cover... and I love the idea of illustrating spiffed-up versions of the strange ideas we had as kids.

    I remember I used to try to draw a superhero who was kind of a cross between Batman and Iron Man, but, because at that age I thought it was fun to put my hands into styrofoam coffee cups, he had these coffee-cup-shaped gauntlets-- not like cuffs, but like he had just wedged his hands into them from the top-- so that he couldn't use his hands for anything except punching people or, I guess, propping open a door.
