I concur with what BOPalex said above. I heard "CUT" in my head. Nice one, Kerry. I love those early, weird Wonder Woman comics....they look like 60's acid trip underground comic books.
Just this particular cover, "Anonymous," there are certainly more exciting, energetic samples of that run, and unless I'm entirely mistaken, that's the gag of Kerry's version?
Kerry has illustratively and intellectually nailed many fundamentals in comics. Which shows love for the form. At the same time the cover conveys clearly how tiering the repetitive hype and the depiction of women in comics all is. Wonderful.
hahahahaha i love her expression
ReplyDeleteHahaha they're all as bored as readers of the original must have been. Love it.
ReplyDeleteThey have the nice appearance of bad actors who are awkwardly waiting for the director to say "cut" at the end of the scene.
ReplyDeleteawesome. looks like an american apparel photo shoot.
ReplyDeleteJudging by Andrew's site, his characterization of Wonder Woman comics from the 30s as "boring" is high praise indeed.
