Thank you Anonymous #1 for stating it better than I could on my own blog. I love this old cover, but knew I could never outdraw the puppet on the original, so this was my solution...
Eh... now that Kerry says that he didn't draw the Flash as a puppet because he thought that he couldn't do it, I kind of feel like the cover is a bit of a cop out. I understand the whole "Well the Flash is going crazy" angle completely, but if that's the case, I think it could have been represented a little bit better, and handled in a more realized fasion.
The original is unequivocally better, right?
