I agree. This is one of my favorites. And I tend not to like the ones that stray too far from the original but this is top notch. I love the faces along the bottom in the date/issue area. I'd definitely buy this book.
I have to admit that when I first submitted this cover I was a little bit unease about most posters reaction, Im so glad with this positive feedback guys. I will submit more in the future then! cheers!!!!
On first glace I liked it, I think there is a lot to like about your approach. However I have a couple critiques if you don't mind. I think there was a lot of stuff written in "How to Draw Comics the Marvel Way" that still holds true, about shot composition. The silhouette guy, don't know his name, seems a little stiff, I'd like to see more curve to his body, he looks like he's posing rather than running. Also the original cover has the characters running more towards the audience and yours has the audience on the sidelines watching them go by, I don't think it draws you in quite as much. But for the most part your minimalist style, color choice etc. is good and you did a great job of making the cover your own while still incorporating all the original elements. Thanks for posting!
Absolutely love it. Wish I had more to say, but that pretty much covers it.

Please do, Patricio. Although not every comment here is praise, I find that most people are civil, especially for the internet.
