I got two books by Ben in the mail today. The first is his comic, Ouroboros. I haven't had a chance to read it, but it looks beautiful. It's 24 pages, wordless, and done in a similar style to his covers seen on this blog.
The other book I received is his small edition, screen printed book, "The Bento Bestiary". It's in 3 colors and is insanely gorgeous. It's a collection of mythical beasts with a full page illustration on each spread. It isn't cheap, but it's made by hand in very small numbers. If this is your kind of thing, I would highly recommend it (both, actually). I imagine it will be very difficult to find either Ouroboros or The Bento Bestiary in a North American comic shop, so order them through Ben's website.
Definitely one of my faves!
ReplyDeleteHaha - Poor Robin.
ReplyDeleteMakes me laugh!
ReplyDeleteSo funny. It's like a "one minute later" cover
ReplyDeleteAll of Ben's covers on this site are so fun...I love them.
ReplyDeleteBen, your choice of cover to cover was perfect.
Thanks for the comments folks. Very kind of you.
