I like the idea here alot, push it further, play around with it, do it faster with more intensity! you're definatly on to a good thing and you could not have found a better picture of a kitten doing a strut.
I wasn't aware of the Golden Book Encyclopedia covers Anthony but thanks for introducing them to me. They're right up my street. I do have a stack of 'Knowledge' magazines from the 60's though which are pretty grand.
Of course it has to be said Ben is completely biased as we are indeed good buds. Also where we're from 'Genius' means something very different.
A really awesome idea - it looks like evidence laid out on a table in a forensics lab. That said, I think it could do with a wee bit more polish. You could push the schematic aesthetics even further with the elements lined up and whatnot. Still, as I said, fantastic idea.
It's pretty funny how you've summed up the scene into objects, it's completely mad.
ReplyDeleteIf the original wasn't next to it I would have no idea what it was about.
Nice one :)
Easily one of the best recovers I've ever seen. Pure genius.
ReplyDeleteI really like this one. Great interpretation.

ReplyDeleteDitto what Dieter said.
It reminds me of the Golden Book Encyclopedia covers.
Was that an influence?

ReplyDeleteawesome!
ReplyDeleteIt feels a bit...unfinished.
ReplyDeleteAnd this has to be said...some of you are using the word 'genius' a bit too liberally.

The collage is refreshing over a rerendering of this cover.
